Evaluation

Change evaluation and feedback may vary from one organization to another depending on the change type and the organizational approach to change. According to Watt (2014), some organizations conduct change evaluation only for major changes, where the complexity and scope of the change warrants careful and formalized evaluation. Also, some organizations follow a formal change evaluation while others may evaluate projects in a less formal context. Regardless of the approach, gathering feedback and conducting an evaluation is critical to capture the lessons learned from any project (Watt, 2014). Change evaluation is therefore part of quality management which is “a process of continual improvement that includes learning from past projects and making changes to improve the next project” (Watt, 2014, p.191).
